To Incoming 7th Grade Parents:
Iowa law requires all students entering the 7th grade to have proof of a TDaP (Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis) booster. Protection provide by the vaccines received as young children wears off as kids get older so adolescents need a booster. The booster has to be given after the age of 11. This information needs to be provided to the school before school starts in August.
If your child has received the Tdap vaccination after the age of 11, please send that information to school as soon as possible. If your child needs the vaccine, please contact your health care provider.
