On Tuesday, October 20th, we had a fantastic assembly regarding the effects of bullying and how each student can take responsibility to see that it stops. Jim Jelinske spoke at a few different middle schools in the area and his message is entertaining, but most importantly it's powerful.
This is obviously a very serious topic and one that can impact students in our building and throughout our district. We were fortunate to have Jim and I hope you heard some great feedback from your student.
After the assembly students returned to their homerooms where their teacher led them through a dialogue about how they can be an "upstander" or ways bullying can be stopped here at Franklin.
To promote bulling prevention Franklin students and staff showed their support by wearing orange.
